Chasing the open sky
Jack Steer is a filmmaker and photographer based in Perth, Western Australia. With no real plan beyond knowing a 9–5 was not for him, he picked up a camera and everything clicked. Nature, narrative and life became the work.
Blank Sky Films is the studio he is building towards: feature films, short stories and everything in between. His debut short was requested by a film curator for their site, and his second is now in production.
Away from the camera he trains in athletics and triathlon, loves the discipline of showing up, and follows Formula 1 closely, with an eye on a future in motorsport media.
